About me

France offers many opportunities, but to make the most of them, you need to understand France.

Elise Vanhamme

In 2015, I obtained a Master of Laws from KU Leuven. After completing my studies and undertaking a language course in Rome, my professional career took me in several directions before ultimately leading me to France in 2017. It was there that I specialised in French employment law as in-house legal counsel.

With nearly nine years of experience, I have developed an in-depth understanding of French employment law and how it operates in practice.

For four years, I developed and managed a French payroll department, allowing me to move beyond a purely advisory role and gain first-hand experience of the day-to-day realities and challenges businesses face.

Entrepreneurship had appealed to me for many years. My search for a way to turn my knowledge and experience into a business built on quality, expertise and personal connection ultimately led to the creation of Inside HR France.

My ambition is not to make entrepreneurs dependent on a consultancy firm, but to share my knowledge and provide the insights they need to handle the essentials themselves, while still having the reassurance of expert support when dealing with more complex matters.

My connection with France goes beyond legal expertise. Living close to the French border and having family ties in France, I have developed a deep understanding of the country's culture, mindset and way of doing business.

That is why I now bring together three elements that are essential to me: in-depth legal expertise, a personal approach, and a genuine understanding of France.

Ultimately, that is what Inside HR France stands for: helping entrepreneurs manage HR in France with confidence, without being intimidated by the many rules, while respecting French employment law, culture and employees.
